PART-TIME ATTORNEY
Texas Legal Services Center has received a three year grant from the U.S. Administration on Aging that will allow us to provide civil legal services to elderly victims of financial exploitation. We are seeking to hire 2 part-time attorneys to staff this project. Attorneys need to have at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant practice area such as criminal prosecution, victim rights, or consumer law. These positions are for 20-25 hours per week. PART-TIME ATTORNEY
Texas Legal Services Center has received a one year grant that will allow us to provide civil legal services to low income veterans. We are seeking to hire an attorney with at least 5 years’ experience. Veterans are preferred. This position is part-time for 20-25 hours per week. PART-TIME ATTORNEY
TLSC has received a two-year grant from the Office of the Attorney General and the Texas Access to Justice Foundation that will allow us to serve non-custodial parents with their parenting orders. TLSC needs a lawyer with a minimum of three years family law experience for part-time work (20-25 hours per week). Primary responsibilities include: giving legal advice and information by telephone to callers who are non-custodial parents regarding their parenting orders, with brief follow-up services, in some cases. DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Texas Legal Services Center is seeking an experienced grant writer to identify and help secure public and private sector grants. Texas Legal Services Center is a non-profit law firm that provides statewide advocacy and services for low-income Texans. Our primary focus has been in the provision of civil Legal Aid to seniors and persons with disabilities through telephone counseling and advice. TLSC attorneys also represent low-income client groups in matters of statewide importance including public benefits, medical services, housing, and access to utility service.

Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience in writing foundation grants and demonstrate success in that field. The Development Director will further be responsible for ensuring that all grants are properly recorded, monitored, and that grant reports are timely filed. Experience in related public communications is helpful. TLSC offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
