Transactional Legal Assistance

A criminal history can hold back hard-working adults from finding safe housing, securing employment, or receiving promotions (especially when additional licenses are needed). We can help clients with criminal records expunctions. We also assist those whose drivers licenses prevent them from traveling to work, school, or performing essential household duties receive a limited license.

Occupational Drivers License
An occupational drivers license, or 'essential need license,' is a special restricted license issued to you when your drivers license has been suspended, revoked, or denied for certain offenses.

An occupational drivers license allows you to operate a non-commercial motor vehicle only in connection with work, school-related activities, or the performing of essential household duties.

Expunctions and Nondisclosures
In Texas, expunction can permanently remove entries from an adult criminal history record, but it is very limited. Nondisclosure (sealing) hides certain offenses from public disclosure, but they are still visible to criminal justice agencies, licensing offices, and certain government entities.

You must be a Texas resident with a household income at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
