Federal Poverty Guidelines — 2020

The federal poverty level is a measure of income used by the U.S. government to determine who is eligible for subsidies, programs, and benefits.

The Department of Health and Human Services updates the poverty guidelines each January —raising them to account for inflation. The guidelines reflect annual household income and household size.

Texas Legal Services Center uses the federal poverty level to determine eligibility for some of our programs.
