Texas Free Legal Answers
Student Volunteer

Texas Free Legal Answers (TxFLA) is a virtual legal advice portal for low-income Texans. The program has a large number of Texans asking questions on the portal, and we need the help of rising 3L law students over the summer to give information and resources to clients who were unable to receive advice from volunteer attorneys. In addition, students will also be responsible for reviewing and updating at least one of the subject matter guides that the program sends to each client as soon as they submit their question.

There will be a two-hour training led by our TxFLA Managing Attorney, Mary Rios. Once the training is completed, students can volunteer at any time that fits their schedule throughout the semester. Students are expected to volunteer for at least two hours most weeks during the summer, though there is flexibility.

Please email Mary Rios at by noon on May 16.
