TexasLawHelp.org Translation Project - Attorneys, Paralegals, Law Students, Translators, and Advocates Needed
Because access to justice shouldn't be limited by language, TexasLawHelp is being translated into five NEW languages: Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, French, and Mandarin. As part of the process, we now need volunteers fluent in Urdu, Arabic, and Hindi (native speakers prioritized) to review the translation vendor's glossaries and sample translated pages.
About the Program
TexasLawHelp.org provides free, reliable legal resources — like court how-to's, self-guided forms, legal clinic calendars, and a directory of legal aid organizations. The site is managed by Texas Legal Services Center who draft the articles and guides and regularly update the articles to ensure users are getting the most up to date legal information.
The Type of Work You'll Be Doing
TexasLawHelp is updating content expiration dates and refining its review schedule. You will help build and complete the offline archives of our 165+ “guides,” which are toolkits that combine forms, instructions, FAQs, and articles that Texans can use to represent themselves in court.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be an attorney, paralegal, law graduate, law student, translator, or advocate
• Verbal and written fluency in Urdu, Arabic, or Hindi
• Demonstrated interest in public service
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to learning our processes
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Planner
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat tools
• Comfort working in, or the ability to learn, web content management systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Wix)
