The Contractor Translation Reviewer (Hindi), TexasLawHelp is responsible for reviewing and approving Hindi-language translations of about 350 legal terms. You will work alongside Texas Legal Services Center staff attorneys and the website translation vendor to review the terms and help ensure that website visitors receive plain-language, up-to-date legal information in the target language. Training will be provided.
Essential Functions
The Contractor Translation Reviewer (Hindi) will perform the following work: (1) Review TexasLawHelp’s internal style guide and the style guide generated by the vendor; and (2) Critique translated style guide and glossary for accuracy, submitting feedback to the vendor.
Education/Licensure (Preferred):
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of one year of legal experience—including but not limited to work as an attorney, paralegal, law student, court translator, social worker, or legal assistant—preferred
Knowledge/Skills (Required):
Ability to read and write in Hindi
Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to pay close attention to detail
Strong written communication skills
Details:
Expected project dates: July 24, 2026, to August 15, 2026 (or as otherwise agreed)
Up to 12 hours available
Rate: $50 to $75 per hour depending on qualifications.
Contractor must maintain the highest ethical and professional standards
