The Legal Hotline for Texans

If you are age 60 or older, attorneys can provide you with legal advice — all for free and over the phone. We offer counsel and advice on Medicaid and Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D. 

​

The Legal Hotline for Texans can also help eligible callers navigate advance directives, guardianship, powers of attorney, Transfer on Death Deeds, consumer issues, and long-term care. 

This program provides counsel and advice only — we cannot draft legal documents, engage in negotiations with third parties, or go to court.

You must be 60 or older or a Medicare Beneficiary.
