Texas Free Legal Answers Student Volunteer

We're looking for law students to help us answer legal questions from low-income Texans statewide.

About the Program

Texas Free Legal Answers (TxFLA) is a virtual legal advice portal for low-income Texans.

The Type of Work You'll Be Doing

Many Texans ask questions on the portal, and we need the help of 3L law students over the semester to give information and resources to clients who were unable to receive advice from volunteer attorneys. Students will also be responsible for reviewing and updating at least one of the subject matter guides the program sends to each client as soon as they submit their question.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be a 3L Law student

LOCATION
Remote
TIME COMMITMENT
2 hours per week with flexibility. Volunteer at any time that fits your schedule throughout the semester.
REQUIRED TRAINING

There will be a two-hour training led by our TxFLA Managing Attorney, Mary Rios.
