Volunteers and their compassion help make our work possible. This week, we're shining a light on another incredible volunteer helping increase access to justice!

Texas Free Legal Answers Volunteer
How did you first hear about TLSC? What inspired you to get involved?
I got in contact with TLSC through SMU Dedman School of Law's pro bono program. I was inspired to get involved when I realized how many Texans do not have access to legal services for their important issues and saw how much of an impact I could make even just as a law student.
How has volunteering with TLSC impacted your life?
Volunteering with TLSC has made me more aware of the needs of people outside of the legal community and more appreciative of my legal education.
What was/is your favorite part of volunteering with Texas Legal Services Center (TLSC)?
I am grateful I was able to volunteer because the work is so important. I also liked the flexibility of the project while also trying to complete my law school obligations. Mary was awesome to work for and very responsive!

How to Volunteer with TLSC
Volunteering offers you the opportunity to make a difference, in your career and in the lives of low-income Texans.
Our program with the ABA, Texas Free Legal Answers, welcomes volunteers on a rolling basis. In this role, pro bono attorneys volunteer remotely on their own schedule.
Throughout the year, opportunities with our other programs are posted on Volunteers page.
