How has volunteering with TLSC impacted your life?

Outside of helping me meet a graduation requirement, it has allowed me to apply what I have learned in my classes at school to real-life problems that help real people.

What is your favorite part of volunteering with Texas Legal Services Center (TLSC)?

I just really like being able to help people who might not otherwise be able to find or access information about the law.

What kind of volunteer work did you perform?

I helped with Texas Free Legal Answers, where we would go through the list of questions and remove old, unanswered questions, while also providing links to information that could help answer their questions.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of volunteering with TLSC?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends; taking my dog, Winston, for walks; reading; watching sports; and just doing anything outside in general.

Anything else you would like to add?

I have really enjoyed volunteering with TLSC and am grateful that y'all have allowed me to volunteer with y'all.

How to Volunteer with TLSC

Volunteering offers you the opportunity to make a difference, in your career and in the lives of low-income Texans.

  • Our program with the ABA, Texas Free Legal Answers, welcomes volunteers on a rolling basis. In this role, pro bono attorneys volunteer remotely on their own schedule.

  • Throughout the year, opportunities with our other programs are posted on Volunteers page.
