Client Story: A Letter from Two Grandparents

Through our Family Helpline's Kincare Legal Assistance Project, our attorneys support kinship caregivers, such as grandparents and other relatives, in navigating legal challenges to ensure safety and stability for the children in their care. This support is often life-changing for caregivers who might otherwise face the legal system alone. Recently, our staff received a heartfelt letter of gratitude from two such grandparents:

We want to say to you, your staff, and those who help make this program possible; we truly are grateful for the professional and courteous help that was extended to us through this confusing and tedious process.

And though it seems silly for an innocent child (who has zero fault in this matter) to not immediately be awarded all the benefits she needs to grow healthy…We could not have got this far in the process without the professional help that y’all have extended us.
